Hello! As many of you know I was diagnosed last spring with 2 rare diseases. One is called CMT or charcot marie tooth disease which is a hereditary disease affecting my nerves, muscles, balance and causes permanent irreversible nerve damage. The other is a rare form of ALS/Lou Gehrigs disease called PLS or Primary Lateral sclerosis. ALS & PLS are both motor neuron diseases. There's no cure for either of these diseases I have and they both just progress.
PLS affects my balance, speech, muscles, nerves to name a few. I have
painful cramping, spasms, twitching, slowed speech, spasticity, balance difficulties which in turn results in frequent falls. I have had many bumps, bruises, lacerations...even a skull fracture.
I have had to give up my job as a nurse which was not an easy thing to do. This year for the first time I will be participating in a fundraising walk for ALS on 9/11/21. I am asking you to please consider donating to my cause. I will be walking in my neighborhood with my rollator. There's no amount too big or small. PLEASE SHARE THIS ON YOUR PAGE FOR ME! PLEASE!
